The sliding hangar door, 258.1m wide by 20m high, is composed of eight door leaves moving on four tracks to two sides. Each leaf, 32.5m wide by 20.1m high, is made of two independent steel structures in soft connection. This door without door pocket can be opened fully and partly. Each leaf has a personnel door, 1m wide by 2m high, which is a standard double- leaf folding door driven by electric hydraulic.

This project was rewarded Luban Prize for China Construction Project which is the highest prize in construction industry in China.
